Many mobile plans, especially prepaid ones, don't count some apps against your data, such as messaging, social media or music apps. The operator recognizes those apps by looking at your traffic.
With PryVPN on, the operator only sees encrypted traffic to our server. It can't tell which app it is, so that use counts against your data like everything else and can use up your balance.
Keep an app free
- Open Settings › Split tunneling and turn on Use split tunneling.
- Choose Exclude selected and select the apps your plan gives you for free.
What you give up
Excluded apps connect directly: PryVPN doesn't encrypt them, they use your real IP, and your operator can see you use them. Your messages stay protected if the app encrypts them end to end.
