What can go wrong on public Wi-Fi

Snooping hotspots

Whoever runs the network can see which sites every connected device opens.

Fake hotspots

A network called "Airport_Free_WiFi" can be anyone's laptop, set up to watch what you do.

Injected ads and trackers

Some hotspots add their own ads or tracking to the pages you load.

Redirected lookups

A hostile network can answer your lookups with fake addresses and send you to look-alike pages.

Mark your home and work networks as trusted once. Everywhere else, PryVPN connects the moment you join, before your apps start talking.

When you move from Wi-Fi to mobile data, it reconnects on its own, and the Kill Switch holds traffic while the tunnel comes back.

Set it once, forget about it

  1. Turn on Wi-Fi protection

    In Settings, under Auto-connect and Wi-Fi.

  2. Trust home and work

    Tap "Trust current network" while you're connected.

  3. Go anywhere

    PryVPN connects by itself on every other network.

HTTPS helps. A VPN covers the rest.

Most sites use HTTPS, which protects what's on the page. The network still sees which sites you visit, and your lookups. A VPN hides those too.

Is public Wi-Fi safe if a site uses HTTPS?

HTTPS protects the content of the page, but the network can still see which sites you visit, and it can interfere with unencrypted lookups. A VPN encrypts all of it between your phone and our server.

Does PryVPN protect me on fake hotspots?

It encrypts your traffic, so a fake hotspot can't read or change what you send through the tunnel. You should still avoid typing passwords into unexpected pop-up sign-in pages.

Do I have to connect manually every time?

No. With Wi-Fi protection on, PryVPN connects by itself on any network you haven't marked as trusted.

Will hotel Wi-Fi sign-in pages still work?

Yes. Join the Wi-Fi and complete its sign-in page first; PryVPN connects as soon as the network lets traffic through.

Does PryVPN work on mobile data too?

Yes. You can choose to auto-connect on mobile data as well, and PryVPN reconnects when you switch between Wi-Fi and mobile.
