Why a site is blocked, and why a VPN gets around it
Most networks block sites in one of three ways: they refuse to look up the site's name (DNS filtering), they drop traffic to certain addresses (IP blocking), or they inspect traffic to spot what it is.
With PryVPN, all three run into the same wall. Your lookups are answered by our own resolver inside the tunnel, your traffic is encrypted, and the network only sees one connection to a PryVPN server.
Where a network blocks VPNs themselves, Stealth mode carries the tunnel inside TLS on TCP port 443, the same port secure websites use.

Can PryVPN unblock any website?
It gets around blocks made by the network you're on, which covers most office, campus, hotel and public Wi-Fi filters. Some websites block known VPN addresses themselves; in that case, trying the other location can help.
Will my office or school see that I use a VPN?
They can see that your device is connected to a VPN server and how much data passes. They can't see which sites you open through it.
Can I watch streaming services from other countries?
Some services limit their catalog by country and their terms may not allow using a VPN. We don't promise access to any specific service. Please respect each service's terms.
What is Stealth mode?
An option for networks that block VPN connections. It carries PryVPN's WireGuard tunnel over TCP port 443, which is harder to single out. It's slower than the default, so use it only when you need it.
Is it legal to unblock websites with a VPN?
Using a VPN is legal in most countries, but a few restrict it, and organizations can set their own rules for their networks. You're responsible for following the laws and policies that apply to you.
