Strict networks
When a network blocks WireGuard
WireGuard normally runs over UDP, which some hotel, office and national networks block. In Auto mode, PryVPN tries UDP first and switches to TCP port 443 after a few seconds if it can't get through.
Stealth mode forces that fallback from the start. It's a little slower than UDP, so the app only uses it when it needs to.

Is WireGuard secure?
WireGuard uses well-studied modern cryptography and a deliberately small design, which makes it easier to review. Like any software, its security also depends on how it's deployed; we generate keys on your device and rotate them automatically.
Is WireGuard faster than OpenVPN?
In most real-world tests WireGuard connects faster and uses less battery and CPU than OpenVPN, largely thanks to its lean design.
Can I export a WireGuard config from PryVPN?
Not today. The app manages keys and servers for you, including key rotation. Manual configs may come later.
Why does PryVPN rotate my key?
Replacing your device's key regularly makes it harder to link connections over time. It happens in the background, with nothing for you to do.
