Smart Location is the default. Each time you connect, it scores every available server by:
- Latency, measured from your phone while PryVPN is disconnected.
- Load: how busy the server is right now.
- Stability: how many packets get lost.
- Distance, estimated from which server answers fastest. PryVPN never reads your location.
It shows the reason for its choice, such as low latency or a light load. Servers in maintenance are skipped, and busy servers stop receiving new people until they calm down.
Every connection also comes with a backup server, in another city when possible, ready in case the first one stops responding. See Automatic switching.
