More and more mobile operators, and some Wi-Fi networks, give your phone only an IPv6 address. PryVPN servers accept connections over both IPv4 and IPv6:
- If your network has IPv4, PryVPN uses it. If it only has IPv6, PryVPN uses IPv6.
- If the first attempt doesn't answer within a few seconds, PryVPN tries the other one.
- Stealth works over IPv6 too.
Inside the tunnel, both kinds of traffic are protected. With IPv6 leak protection on (in the Protection tab), IPv6 goes through the tunnel, or is blocked when the server has no IPv6, so it never goes around it.
If it still doesn't connect
- Make sure PryVPN is up to date.
- A server profile you imported from your own node only works if its endpoint can be reached from your network. On an IPv6-only network, use an IPv6 address or a hostname with an IPv6 record.
- Once connected, run the leak test to check that IPv6 goes through the tunnel.
