Home answers three questions, in this order. Each dot shows a check mark, a spinner or a cross, with one plain sentence underneath.
- Network: does your Wi-Fi or mobile data reach the internet? If not, you see “Your Wi-Fi has no internet right now. This isn't the VPN.” or “Sign in to this Wi-Fi first, then connect.”
- Server: is the PryVPN server answering? If not, PryVPN tries another one.
- Tunnel: is your traffic really flowing through the encrypted tunnel? PryVPN checks the handshake and sends a tiny DNS lookup through the tunnel. Only when both pass does it say “Protected and verified”.
What to do
- Cross on Network: the problem is your connection, not PryVPN. See No internet or Wi-Fi login pages.
- Cross on Server: PryVPN moves you to the backup server on its own. You can also pick another location.
- Cross on Tunnel: the network may be blocking VPNs. Try Stealth.
In Stealth mode the app stays outside the tunnel, so it can't send that DNS check itself. There, the Tunnel dot is based on the TLS link receiving data and on a recent handshake.
