What we never record
- The sites and apps you use through PryVPN.
- Your DNS queries.
- The content of your traffic.
- Your real IP address linked to your activity, or when you reached a given site.
Like any VPN, our servers have to see where each packet goes in order to deliver it. They pass it on and don't write it down.
What we keep
- Your account number as a one-way hash, and your devices' public keys, while your account exists.
- While you're connected: which server, which protocol and how much data. When you disconnect, only daily totals remain.
- Security records, such as failed sign-ins, with a shortened and hashed IP, for 24 hours.
- Service logs, without your account number or full IP, for 14 days.
- Diagnostic reports you choose to send, for 30 days.
- Anonymous statistics, if you leave them on, as daily totals only.
What that means
If someone asks who used a PryVPN IP address at a given time, we can't tell them, because that link doesn't exist. We count every such request in our transparency report.
The app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. Your WireGuard private key is created on your phone and never leaves it. PryVPN doesn't make you anonymous, but we keep no record of what you do.
