To learn where connecting is slow or fails, and which features people use, PryVPN can send anonymous statistics. The app explains this the first time you open it.
What's included
- Connections: time to connect (in ranges), success or the reason for a failure, protocol, Wi-Fi or mobile data, IPv4 or IPv6, the location chosen, and whether it switched to the backup server.
- Sessions, in ranges: how long they last, roughly how much data, and why they ended.
- App use: which screens and features are used, as counts, and how long the app takes to start.
- App and Android version, language, a rough country and the week you installed.
What's never included
Your account number, any device identifier, your IP address, the sites or apps you use, DNS queries or Wi-Fi names.
How it's protected
Your phone adds the numbers up and sends them at most every 6 hours. Our server doesn't store the address they came from, and keeps only daily totals, for 13 months. Our dashboards hide any group with fewer than 10 submissions.
Turn it off
In Settings, turn off Share anonymous statistics. From then on the app sends nothing, and everything else works exactly the same.
