Hotspot: devices you share your connection with

PryVPN protects your phone, but not the laptops or tablets connected to your phone's hotspot.

When you share your phone's connection as a Wi-Fi hotspot, or over USB or Bluetooth, Android sends the traffic of the connected devices straight out, without passing it through the VPN. It works this way for every VPN app on Android.

  • Your phone stays protected by PryVPN.
  • Connected devices, such as a laptop, use your mobile connection directly. Your operator can see which sites they visit, and websites see your mobile IP.
  • The Kill Switch doesn't cover them either.

To protect another Android device, install PryVPN on it too and sign in with the same account number. Up to five devices of one account can be connected at once.
